Benefits of BIOREMEDY

World-class eco-friendly bioremediation technology

BJC has achieved the world's best bioremediation technology.

‌

‌

Definition of Bioremediation Technology

Our Microorganisms is...

A technology that removes, converts, and moves toxic chemicals(oil compounds, pesticides, heavy metals, etc.) accumulated in the environment(air, water, soil, etc.) using living things(plants, animals, microorganisms, etc.).(biostimulation, bioaugmentation, etc.)

Our general status of Microorganisms

Oil contaminated Soil remediation of the existing bioremediation method is…

Contamination concentrations above 3,000ppm were judged to be impossible with the bioremediation method, so the thermal desorption method was mainly applied.
The bioremediation method was intermittently adopted in the remediation project to reduce the Contamination of less than 3,000ppm to the level of 1,000ppm.

‌

  • ㆍContamination degree 3,000ppm or more : Thermal desorption method applied.
  • ㆍContamination degree less than 3,000ppm : Bioremediation method(intermittent adoption).

Agents for biological degradation of soil contaminated by oil
‌

  • ㆍSuperior degradation performance of non-degradable polymer PAHs

ㆍDegradation of BTEX, gas oil, diesel, motor oil and petroleum

ㆍExcellent in situ application in extreme conditions such as many salts, acidity, high humidity, high temperature, etc.

ㆍEnhancement of solubility of hydrophobic hydrocarbons and involvement of catalysts that facilitate native microbes

ㆍNo occurrence of secondary environmental contamination and harmful toxic substances

Agents for biological degradation of soil contaminated by oil
‌

BIOREMEDY is microbial materials composed of superior oil degrading microorganisms and PAH-degrading microorganisms and improves remediation performance of oil pollutants using catalyst that enhances solubility of hydrophobic oil compounds.

The only alternative to oil pollution, sludge remediation
And dioxin-contaminated soil remediation(proprietary technology)

Exclusive superiority over existing bioremediation methods

Although the thermal desorption method has been the most used method to purify oil and dioxin-contaminated soil, the thermal desorption method emits pollutants into the atmosphere during the purification process, and there is a problem with the treatment of the burned soil(unusable).

Accordingly, the UN strongly recommended the ban on the use of the thermal desorption method, and as a result, Kuwait (KOC), which has a typical oil pollution problem due to the Gulf War, and Vietnam, which has a dioxin pollution problem, decided not to adopt the thermal desorption method anymore.

Therefore, BJC's bioremediation technology will be exclusively used in the Oil contaminated soil, Oil sludge and Dioxin pollution remediation sector in the future.

Description of Our Exclusive Technology

Benzene

A difficult-to-decomposable compound has a stable molecular structure and does not decompose naturally.
The basic harmful substance is benzene.

Benzene ring

Based on this benzene, various harmful substances such
as toluene, xylene, and dioxin(defoliant) are generated depending on what is bonded to the benzene ring.

Breaking the benzene ring

BJC's bioremediation technology is the principle of breaking the benzene ring, which is the basis of harmful substances, with microorganisms.
The principle of microbial operation technology is the same, only the form is different.

Oil contaminated Sludge and Soil Bioremediation technique

Overview of BJC bioremediation technique for oil contaminated sludge and soil

Oil components leaked into the soil and sea are difficult to decompose and take a long time to decompose.

BIOREMEDY is a microbial preparation composed of excellent oil-decomposing microorganisms and PAH-degrading microorganisms. It uses a facilitating substance that increases the solubility of hydrophobic oil compounds to improve the oil pollution remediation ability.

ㆍBIOREMEDY: Biological agent for decomposing hydrocarbons in oil-contaminated soil Joint development with Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology(KIOST)

ㆍPAHs(Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons): PAH is a hydrocarbon compound based on a benzene ring. It is mainly generated during combustion and is very toxic, so it has been designated as a carcinogen and mutagenic by the US Environmental Protection Agency(EPA)
